Design Notes
This part was initially cloned into the pET22b(+) vector using restriction sites of EcoRI and XbaI, also making this part RFC 10 compatible. The part utilized was codon optimized using the IDT Codon Optimization Tool for expression E. coli cells. The pET22b(+) vector contains ampicillin resistance and a LacI segment for selection and screening.
Source
The initial laccase gene for B.licheniformis was retrieved from the NCBI database with the accession number WP_061578657.1. The final product is 513 amino acids long.
